SWIMMING HOLES
Waldo's Beach: Facility includes swimming pools, water slides and rope swing. Cost is $10 for ages 10 and younger, $12 for ages 11 and older. 6742 Waldo's Beach Road. 423-8701.
Chalmers Pool: At Seabrook Park, this is the only public pool in Cumberland County. Maximum depth is five feet. Cost is $1 for ages 12 and younger, $2 for everyone else. 708 Langdon St. 433-1571.
Smith Lake: The lake has a sandy beach and offers pedal boat and canoe rentals. Cost is $5 for civilians, $4 for military and $2 for children 16 and younger. Off Murchison Road on Fort Bragg. 396-5979.
Fantasy Lake: This water park covers 6 acres and includes water slides, trapeze swing ropes, jumping platforms, pedal boats, diving boards and areas for acquatic volleyball and basketball. Cost is $14 for adults, $10 for ages 3-10. Children younger than 2 get in free with a parent's admission. 5869 Perma- stone Lake Road in Hope Mills. 424-9999.
Hope Mills Lake: This lake is open to swimmers for the first time since 2003. There is no fee for admission. 3609 Main St. in Hope Mills.
