Spring Lake
Spring Lake is dominated by Bragg Boulevard, which ferries traffic to, from and through Fort Bragg. Founded in 1923 by Arthur Priddy, the town grew along with Fort Bragg during World War II and was incorporated in 1951.
Recent growth at Fort Bragg and more development to the north in Harnett County has transportation planners looking to widen the boulevard through town to handle an estimated 93,000 vehicles per day expected in 20 years.
Town leaders are fiercely protective of their community and want orderly growth that will preserve a small town flavor. Mendoza Park offers a range of recreational activities, and there are a variety of restaurants to choose from - not to mention overnight hotel and motel options for visitors.
