Discover the Town of Stedman

In addition to Fayetteville, Hope Mills and Spring Lake, there are five more small towns around Cumberland County. Stedman is the largest but still clocks in at just over 1,000 residents. Plans are underway to widen N.C. 24 to four lanes all 10 miles to Fayetteville, where many Stedman residents work.

Farther north along Interstate 95 are Wade, Falcon and Godwin, which in the 2010 census shed its tag as the smallest town in the county by barely overtaking Linden, population 130.

Stedman has a grocery store, pharmacy and other small businesses, but the other four towns are for residents who are happy to drive elsewhere for their needs and want no more than a stop light in their home town.
